An Evening with Tim Flannery

Professor Tim Flannery

An event that will stimulate, inspire and entertain

On Saturday 26 September, Tim Flannery, Chief Councillor at the Climate Council will be talking at the Castlemaine Town Hall about how Australia can prepare itself for a clean energy future in the light of the remarkable growth of renewables in Australia. Professor Flannery is an inspirational speaker on climate change and the Hub Foundation Castlemaine is delighted to be hosting this event. Profits from the evening will go to local organisations involved in sustainability as well as the Climate Council.

Before and after Tim’s talk, there will be live music to enjoy. Sit back, enjoy a glass of local wine or soft drink with friends. If you choose, there will be a light evening meal using locally sourced produce prepared by Growing Abundance. And afterwards, if the mood takes you, get up and dance to music provided by the Seduceaphones, a talented young band from Castlemaine and Bendigo with a Balkan funk vibe.

For those wishing to have dinner, there is a light evening meal provided if you purchase a ticket downstairs. Otherwise seating is available upstairs to hear Tim’s talk and enjoy the music – and dance if you like – afterwards.
