We are very happy to announce that finally, Smart Living Ballarat will be open for business on Thursday the 2nd of February!
Haven't heard of Smart Living Ballarat yet? What is it you ask?
Well, Smart Living Ballarat is located in a shop for all things sustainable and lives in the heart of Ballarat at 14 Lydiard Street North, at the front of the Mining Exchange.
Smart Living Ballarat is for people seeking information on sustainable living practices around five themes: Home, Environment, Water, Transport and Food. The Centre is an interpretive display experience supported by programs and a website packed with independent, clear advice.
Smart Living Ballarat aims to create a positive groundswell of change within our community, recognising that much of the expertise, experience and inspiration needed to assist our community to adopt these smarter lifestyles exists locally.
Connecting our community to local expertise and local solutions will be a core focus of the Centre and will play an important role in showing our community what is possible.
The Smart Living Centre will be run and operated mostly by trained volunteers who are passionate and dedicated to living sustainably.
Come into the Centre, say hello and find out how you can live more sustainably.
Smart Living Ballarat is acommunity project, initiated by the Regional Sustainability Alliance Ballarat, Ballarat Renewable Energy and Zero Emissions and supported by the Victorian Government Sustainability Fund, managed by Sustainability Victoria.
Smart Living Ballarat will be open for business Tuesday to Saturday, from 10.00am to 4.00pm.
