A Strategic Plan is a long term plan that sets your groups vision and broad strategic priorities. The plan does not need to be detailed, just well thought through and used as a reference point for making decisions. In preparing your strategic plan, think about:
It is really important to involve your group's stakeholders in any planning process - in particular your members and volunteers, representatives of other organisations. It can valuable to map out who your stakeholders are early in the process. For an example Stategic plan see the BREAZE Strategic Plan (link is on its way). Also, some reflections on our Strategic Planning process can be found on our BREAZE Story page.
