Nice article and graphic on how much space you would need to live off the land, with all the various things, such as electricity, vegetables, wheat etc.
I am using an attached greenhouse for the veggies as I can't compete with the kangaroos when running a conventional garden.
I am currently obtaining most of my domestic vegetable requirements from the greenhouse.
(The greenhouse also provides backup space heating).
The house is already "off grid" and self sufficient.
I know nothing about horticulture but progress so far is encouraging.
