Treasurer
This is a voluntary position
BREAZE is seeking a board treasurer with skills and experience in:
- Business/process management
- Finance
- Audit and Risk Management
The Role:
- Provide strategic direction and support for the financial management of BREAZE
- Apply your skills and experience in committees and board meetings as required
- Act in the interests of BREAZE
- Support BREAZE when attending events and advocate for BREAZE within professional and informal networks.
Specifically:
- Chair Finance Sub Committee meetings
- Present Treasurer’s report to Board meetings
- Oversight budget preparation and financial reporting
- Oversight the financial planning processes within the organisation (in cooperation with staff)
- Maintain records in accordance with Government requirements of incorporated bodies
- Support staff during annual independent audit
- Provide oversight to EO and staff managing specific projects involving income and expenditure.

BREAZE Board members are recruited for their relevant experience and are not remunerated. The position will require an approximate time commitment of between 6 and 8 hours per month. Expressions of interest are due by Wednesday February 15, 2012.

Our goal is to protect and enhance the natural environment and increase environmental sustainability within the region by helping the community embrace carbon neutral and sustainable lifestyles.
