Come and hear experienced biomedical researcher and practioner of Chinese Medicine, Daphne Thompson, talk about "Sustainable Health for us and planet Earth" Wednesday 3rd August, 7pm Ballarat Mechanics Institute, 117 Sturt Street The talk will conclude with some tasting of foods associated with the different seasons. Our bodies, like planet earth, are governed by the laws of nature; we overheat and exhibit dryness, we become waterlogged and get flooded! What steps can we take to protect our bodies from climate change? This short talk explores the power of Yin (fluid) and Yang (energy), how being in tune with their cycle fits with the seasons and our food supply. Daphne Thompson Daphne practices Classical Chinese Medicine in Ballarat. She is passionate about empowering others in sustainable health, sharing her knowledge and rebalancing mind, body and spirit. She has a doctorate and 20 years experience working in biomedical research and a Bachelors degree with honours in Chinese Medicine from Victoria University, Melbourne.
